Here is my review
The back
The fun part... I love the neck
How I raised the neck by 1"
Fabric: Moderately stretched fabric.
Pattern Description: A-line, pull over tunics A, C or above mid-knee dress.
Pattern Sizing: Lrg- Xlg-XxL... I cut large and reduced it to medium because I didn`t see medium size when I wanted to buy this pattern.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Absolutely.
Were the instructions easy to follow: Super easy, I glanced through it once and violaaaa...
Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made: As usual, I love my girls to be at their rightful places, so........
I raised the neck by 1"I lengthened the sleeve and bodice by 2"
I removed about 2" at the bust areas because I didn`t want to do the gathering, I just wanted the neck to lie flat on my chest........ Do I love this little alteration? Absolutely
I also graded up from medium to large at the hip
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the neck and the A-line style of the pattern... Nothing to dislike at all.
Would you recommend it to others? Yes, but I think this pattern will work nicely with moderately stretched knit
Conclusion: I am loving it..... This is one fast pattern to try if you want to jump start your mojo, instant gratification. It took me less than 3 hour from start to finish, including the alteration, the sewing, the serging and the finishing................super easy

ReplyDeleteThat came out very nice. Looks cute with jeans!!!
ReplyDeleteThat top looks really nice on you. It looks so comfy.
ReplyDeleteThanks for showing how you raised that neckline. Most patters with the "v" neckline are way too low for me. DID YOU ADD EXACTLY 1" ON THE EXTENSION HERE? I have that pattern and have been giving it some thought. I like yours a lot.
ReplyDeleteYes Faye I added exactly 1" right on the lower tip of the neck and graded it slantly up...... I always raise most of the V-neck patterns by 1" for modesty....
ReplyDeleteVery nice and nice fit on you. :-)
