Party Dress... Mccall 6069
With my busy schedule and work commitment this time of the year, sewing and other fun stuffs have been put to the back burner till the holiday break. However, for my office Xmas party I needed to make a dress since I had no time to shop and McCall's 6069 came to my rescue. Nothing more to be said about this pattern, the only change I made was lengthened the skirt to a floor length. My complete dress took about two (2) hours from start to finish... what else could I ask for?, life can that simple hey.....I made hubby wear a matching tie as well,
Hope you are all enjoying the season, wishing you all have a happy holiday!!!!

I am still here............Mom's 70th and more.....
Hello fellows, I know it's been a long time, over a month since my last post, I have been away. I went to Africa for my mom's 70th surprise birthday. I didn't blog about it because I was afraid someone who knows her might read my blog and tell her. It was a big surprise, I first went to Atlanta to connect with my sister , had a stop over in UK to connect with another sister and we all went with some of the grandkids to surprise the woman, she was so shocked when she saw us. The party was well planned courtesy of my sisters and brothers back home, she didn't have a clue until she got to the venue.. It was really a nice surprise .
We thank God for journey mercies back to our various homes. Most importantly my mom was so grateful and happy.
I thank God for her life, for being the best mom in the world, for her love, for the discipline...oh I can never forget those days and they worked out so well on all of us, I will forever be grateful mom......
Here are some of the pictures with my parents, my siblings and some grandkids... ....

Wondering where have been?
I have been away on vacation to Africa (Nigeria) . I was so busy packing that I didn't have chance to say good bye to you all..........However, I am glad to be back home after over a month. I left with the kids end of June and we came back last Saturday......It was the longest vacation ever and to say of enjoyment, we had fun to the last...................
The kids had the most fun and were even crying when we had to leave for home..........
They saw things (animals, food, places) they haven't seen before and they explored to the fullest. I also learned how to make some African attire, which I will be posting later....
Still jet lagging a bit and preparing to go back to work next week.
All in all it's good to be back home. I miss blogging and the sisterhood.
I will be back in full force later.... ...lol . stay tuned

Happy Holiday
HAPPY ! HAPPY!! HAPPY HOLIDAY
I wish you all a happy holiday and a prosperous New Year. As for me and the kids we are having a nice holiday right in USA. For the first time , my kids get to meet my sister and her family in GA, I haven't seen her in 8 years, and she hasn't seen both my kids before. It's been so merry since we came down, we've been going to bed around 1am since Monday, yesterday , we didn't sleep till 5am this morning, so many things to catch up on. I will be posting some pictures later. But for now, I am enjoying every bit of my holiday. I hope you've been enjoying yours too. The temperature when I left home was -30 deg, and since I got here the temp has been between +10 to +15, what a nice weather.. No sewing for now, until after the holiday.....
