I am presently sewing up one of my African fabrics, and loving it so far. I re-drafted the bodice of simplicity 2554 to a fitted blouse, I lowered the neck by 0.5" , I used lightweight broadcloth for lining , roll-hemmed the flounce from the right side so that the wrong side of fabric can roll up and I installed side invisible zipper .........
My plan is to make a complete outfit from this fabric i.e a skirt, a blouse and a head tie just like a real African woman...lol. The top is almost done, needs to be hemmed and hopefully finish the skirt tomorrow... Stay tuned for my complete outfit fellas................
side invisible zipper..
Have a lovely weekend all......
