Newlook 6901...revisited

I thought I was done with this unpopular Newlook 6901 pattern after making this cowl neck top, but when I went to Walmart with my 4 year old babie, she picked these lovely knit fabrics for me. She said mom, these will make you a nice outfit....and I said okay let's buy some yards.... For $1.97 a meter, I bought 2m each and here I am with my new outfit....I am really getting ready for Spring.....

The front and back hem really match...

Love the cowl neck........

Fabric: Jersey knit

Pattern Description: Misses Knit Tops and Skirt

Pattern Sizing: Size A 8-18.. I cut 14 for the top and 16 for the skirt

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?:  Pretty much

Were the instructions easy to follow: Super easy.......

Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made: I always have some to do;
(1) I cut seperate back pattern for the skirt so that I could do my 1" wedge alteration,
(2)I self lined the skirt
(3)I french seamed the skirt flounce
(4)Used 1'' elastic and serged it to the waistline of the skirt and folded it down so that it would lie flat around the waist........

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? Nothing to dislike at all.

Would you recommend it to others? Sure, just a simple 2hr project.

Conclusion: Fast, Easy, Casual and Comfy......

Enjoy.....
